LEED Consulting

CBO Financial is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Maryland Chapter, the organization that created and oversees the LEED program and its rating system. Our LEED Certification services can help you qualify for tax rebates, zoning allowances and other incentives.

By making your project a LEED-certified building, you’re helping to improve your community’s environment as well as the health of its residents. In addition, you’ll enjoy a wealth of financial incentives and energy savings. Our in-house LEED Accredited Professionals have a proven track record of success in guiding projects through the LEED certification process. We help you obtain a desirable LEED certification while still maintaining initial project expectations for quality, delivery cost and schedule adherence. Our services include:

• Consulting—we provide insight so that your LEED effort is more effective and successful
• Project management—we develop the scope of work for sub-consultants and contractors and then ensure that your project earns the right points to achieve LEED status
• LEED documentation submission process—we register your green building project with the USGBC, submitting all required documentation and responding to any requests for clarification
• Commissioning—we review and document that your building is designed, installed, functionally tested, and capable of being operated and maintained according to your operational needs, adding significant value, efficiency and reliability

Our LEED Certification services are under the auspices of our Director of Development, Corinne Cheairs, LEED, AP BD & C. She is also a Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP)—the first woman in Maryland to have earned this certification)—as well as a USGBC-Certified Education Provider.
